How to Attach your Local Folder to Gladinet Cloud

Gladinet Cloud users can attach local folders on their machine to Gladinet Cloud. Once the local folder is attached, a user can:

  • Access the local folder from the Gladinet Cloud web portal, Gladinet Team Client/Server on remote machines, and Gladinet iPhone/Android Apps. The access is instant. There is no need to wait for the folder to be fully uploaded to Gladinet Cloud before the user can access it.
  • Gladinet Cloud will maintain version history for files in the folder. It will be a ‘versioned folder’. The user can restore files to previous version and recover deleted files.
  • When running Gladinet Team Client/Server, users can allow the application to download all the files in the attached local folder to cache, for offline access.

There are several ways to attach a local folder.

  • With Gladinet running, right click the folder to attach and select ‘Attach This Folder to Gladinet Cloud’.

  • Or drag & drop a folder to the root of Gladinet Drive. Gladinet will prompt the option to copy the folder, or attach the folder.

Once the folder is attached, it is added in Gladinet Cloud, with the machine name appended.
